Xiaomi rolls out, dark mode to its flagship Android devices. With the latest MIUI 10.3.5 it’s hidden, but the user can enable it via an ADB command line. We can already see that this system-wide dark mode in Redmi Note 5. In this tutorial I’m going to show you how to enable this new feature.
There’s mainly two types. Complete dark mode automatic mode. This method works without the root permission. In this process, we need a computer and the ADB files. If you don’t have required files, you can download it here.
This feature available in future MiUi 11. Without waiting for the next update, we can experience this new dark mode.
To enable the system-wide dark mode, enter the command:
To disable the dark mode, enter:
To automatically switch the dark mode, enter:
After enabling the new UI color, to view the changes reboot the device.
If you get the following error, while running the above commands, enable the USB Debugging & USB Debugging (Secuirty Settins) via settings.
Security exception: Permission denial: writing to settings requires:android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
Enable MiUi USB Debugging (Security Settings).
Enable Developer Option (Go to “Settings > About phone” tap on 7 times on MIUI version)
Navigate to Settings>Addional Settings> Developer option.
Then, under the debugging enable “USB Debugging” and “USB Debugging (Security Settings). Like following screenshot.
Now again run the above command to enable Dark mode on Xiami PocoPhone F1.
